These Cufflinks are from the 1960 pictorial postage stamp issue and depict the amazing Manuka.
The Manuka tree produces flowers that make a honey that is not only delicious but imbibed with healing properties. I have had these cufflink findings specially made. They are heavy and solid and made to be enjoyed for a lifetime. Silver Plated and made with an acid free image set under hand shaped glass. They come in either round or square and are presented presented in an elegant cufflink box. Manuka - 1/2d Manuka 'Leptospermum scoparium' also commonly called the tea tree, is a bushy shrub found in most parts of the country. The flowers are mostly white, appear in profusion and often almost hide the small reddish-green leaves. The woody fruit have five narrow slits through which the seeds escape.
Stamps issued before 1936 may be reproduced, however those after are subject to copy-write. Postmarks and variations in stamp issue colours add to the unique nature of the historic and one off piece.
